About me

Hello, my name is Lill and I am a Person-Centred Counsellor. I am based in Saltaire, West Yorkshire and I offer counselling sessions in Saltaire, Shipley, Bingley, Bradford, Keighley, Baildon and the surrounding areas. I can offer online, telephone and face to face sessions. Weekly and fortnightly sessions are available to suit your individual needs.

Introduction

Person-centered counselling is about creating a safe, non-judgmental, confidential place where we can explore your issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and thoughts, so you can become more self-aware and achieve greater independence and improve your wellbeing.

We will work through your issues, building your self-confidence, treating you as the expert on yourself, as no-one else knows exactly what it’s like to be you. The person-centered approach focusses on you, and the solutions come from within.

It may be that you are feeling alone, angry, sad, anxious or low. Perhaps you have experienced a life event that has caused you to suffer trauma, guilt, stress or grief. You do not need to deal with those thoughts and feelings alone. Person-centered counselling can help you to process the trauma and find a happier, healthier place.

Who I Work With

I offer counselling for adults and young people aged 11-18. My approach is humanistic and we will work at your pace. I will guide you along a journey toward better self-awareness and wellbeing.

I've worked with clients going through many different challenges including anxiety, depression, eating/body issues, bereavement, anger, self-harm and relationship problems. For more information please see below.

How it Works

If you are interested or would like an informal chat about how we can work together, please get in touch by sending an introductory message via the 'Message Me' button or give me a call on 07884383878.

We can set up sessions in person, via video conferencing or by telephone to suit you. I can offer day-time or evening appointments, please see my availability listed to the right of the page.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
