About me
Hi, I’m Libby. I work as both a counsellor and mental health coach. I offer in-person appointments in Basingstoke. as well as online sessions for clients across the UK. I support individuals through a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges.
I offer both short-term and long-term counselling and coaching or a unique blend of both, available in-person or online.
If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, counselling and coaching can help you make sense of your experience, find emotional clarity, and move toward meaningful change.
How I Work:
Counselling offers a safe, compassionate space to explore your emotions, understand recurring patterns, and to build a deeper self-awareness. It’s a place to heal.
- Mental Health Coaching helps you reconnect with your strengths, values, and identity even during times of stress or upheaval. It supports you in setting goals, building resilience, and reclaiming a sense of direction.
- Together, counselling and coaching create a supportive, empowering space helping you regulate emotions, build confidence, and move forward with purpose.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I tailor my approach to suit your unique needs, drawing from a range of therapeutic models including:
- Person-Centred Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Transactional Analysis
- Psychodynamic Counselling
If you’re ready to begin your journey or simply want to explore what support might look like for you, I’d love to hear from you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a qualified Relational Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I’m also a certified Mental Health and Well-being Coach, accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). I have a degree in Psychology.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
