About me
A bit about me..
Welcome to Cognitive Compass Counselling! As the name suggests I am dedicated to guiding you towards positive wellbeing. I am a fully accredited NCPS member with experience supporting adults with a range of mental health difficulties! Areas I provide support for include: anxiety, depression, loss, addiction, low self-esteem, bullying, stress and relationship difficulties. As a pluralistic counsellor, I use a variety of approaches tailored to supporting the individual needs of my client.
How can counselling help?
With the numerous challenges that life throws at us, we often find ourselves needing an outlet to express our thoughts, feelings and emotions. However, through fear of judgement and repercussions it can be difficult to find that person in our everyday lives. This is where counselling steps in...to provide you with a safe space and platform to unload, explore and reflect in the company of compassion and understanding. More than this, counselling can provide you with a greater understanding of your own thought processes, in addition to the tools and techniques to better manage your wellbeing outside of scheduled sessions.
What can you expect in a counselling session with me?
I currently offer remote/online counselling sessions to prospective clients of all backgrounds. Each session lasts 50 minutes and provides my client's with flexibility and autonomy to bring their pressing concerns to the therapeutic room. Although each session is unique, some common elements you can expect in my sessions include goal setting, scheduling of practical activities, exploration through open-ended questioning, reflection, gentle thought challenging and the use of therapeutic tools and techniques.
Next steps..
If you are interested in counselling with me, I offer a 15-20 minute introductory phone session to answer any questions you might have and discuss your suitability for counselling. For further information please see the bottom of this profile.
