About me

Are you struggling with low mood, anxiety/depression or overwhelming emotions and thoughts that seem impossible to navigate?

I am a dedicated and empathetic Integrative Psychotherapist with a specialization in helping individuals overcome and manage the challenges of anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, and self-acceptance. I have a particular interest and strong commitment to supporting marginalized individuals and communities. My passion is to assist clients on their journey towards emotional well-being, personal growth, and self-discovery.

I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist; this simply means that I will use a range of approaches that are tailored to the individual. I believe that there is no one size fits all approach in therapy, and I work in a humanistic fashion, this means that I work with clients alongside their own therapy goals and the values and dignity of the client. The very foundations of the work will be providing a warm non-judgemental space based on empathy. I use evidence-based interventions to help the client gain understanding and insight into the problems or maybe even solutions that they are looking for. This will involve reflection inside and outside of the therapy, working together to produce the best outcome for you.

In our therapy sessions, you can anticipate a warm and empathetic environment where you can openly express your thoughts and emotions. My goal is to create a collaborative partnership with you, tailoring our sessions to your unique needs, goals, and pace of progress. Together, we will explore and work through the challenges you are facing, with a focus on achieving lasting emotional well-being and personal transformation.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
