About me
When deciding to talk to someone, about something you are finding difficult, it can feel quite tough. You may not be sure if you need support. You are welcome to contact me before making a decision.
I offer both on going therapy, and single session therapy( SST) otherwise known as One At A Time Therapy(OAATT)
As a counsellor, I provide a distinct service, by being completely independent of Brackley, with no personal connections in the area, and few in Banbury.
I offer a non- judgemental, confidential, safe space to help start the healing process, and help you find your way forward. You can use your sessions to speak openly and freely about whatever may be troubling you.
I am qualified to work face to face, virtually via Zoom or by telephone, supporting you, at your pace. Initially I offer to meet you on the phone in an initial free 20 minute telephone session (with no obligation) so that you can explain your wishes, and decide if, and how we might work together.
As a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. I use three core theory types - Person Centered, Gestalt and Transactional analysis . Some of the work has a creative format. How we work together is your choice. I work in Brackley and Banbury.
My recent counselling experience includes:·
- Anger management
- Addiction, including Gambling
- anxiety
- loss
- Abuse
- Carers issues
- Empty nest syndrome
- low self esteem
- low confidence
- General Anxiety Disorder
- Depression
- Family issues
- Loneliness
- Work-related stress.
- ADHD and ASD support around change
- Change
With single session therapy, I offer support for one session. The client can use the session to explore what they have learnt from the session, take time to process learning and then decide if more support would be useful, or understand what happens for them if the same situation arises in the future.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
