About me

I am an Integrative Therapeutic Psychotherapist. Engaging in therapy can serve as a pivotal initial step in gaining insight into the emotional and behavioural patterns you may be experiencing. It offers the opportunity to explore these dynamics and develop effective strategies for managing them, ultimately facilitating meaningful transformation in your day-to-day life.

Through a collaborative approach, my aim is to cultivate an environment of open dialogue and reflective exploration. The therapeutic space I provide is safe, non-judgmental, and conducive to deep introspection, allowing you to delve into your thoughts and emotions in the present moment. You are free to express any aspect of your experience, which can lead to new understandings, perspectives, and decisions that foster enhanced well-being.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and hold a Level 4 Approved Practitioner Diploma in Therapeutic Integrative Counselling, along with Level 3 qualifications in Counselling Studies and Counselling Skills. I am fully accredited to deliver both online and telephone therapy, ensuring flexibility in the delivery of services.

With over 15 years of experience within the NHS, including a decade spent working within mental health services, I have supported individuals dealing with a broad spectrum of emotional and psychological concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, anger, addiction, low self-esteem, and PTSD. I draw upon a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques and mindfulness practices, to assist clients in cultivating effective coping strategies.

The complexities of life can often feel overwhelming, and at times, the weight of our emotions and thoughts may seem insurmountable. I recognise the critical importance of providing a secure space in which you can thoughtfully engage with your experiences and begin to make sense of your inner world. Therapy is a profound and transformative process, and I am committed to working alongside you to foster resilience, empower your personal growth, and support you in achieving your therapeutic objectives.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
