About me

As an integrative psychotherapist, I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs, drawing from a range of evidence based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and psychodynamic principles. This allows us to explore both current difficulties and underlying issues that may be contributing to your distress.

My practice is grounded in collaboration, reflection, and open dialogue. The aim is not only to relieve emotional distress but also to increase self awareness and develop effective coping strategies. Therapy can offer valuable insight into how your past experiences may be influencing your present, and provide the tools necessary to make informed and lasting changes.

Seeking support through therapy can be an important first step towards understanding emotional challenges, behavioural patterns, or long standing difficulties that may be affecting your quality of life. I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental therapeutic space where we can begin this process together.

You will have the freedom to explore whatever you feel is most important at your own pace. The sessions are structured around your goals, whether you're seeking short term support for a specific issue or longer term therapy for deeper exploration. My role is to facilitate a process that empowers you to gain clarity, manage symptoms, and enhance your overall wellbeing.

Training, qualifications & experience

With over 15 years of professional experience within the NHS, including 10 years specifically within Mental Health Services, I bring a clinically informed, compassionate, and ethical approach to therapy. My extensive background enables me to work effectively with a diverse range of clients and mental health presentations.

Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP)
Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Integrative Counselling (Approved Practitioner)
Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills

My practice is underpinned by the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and I am solidifying these skills by completing a Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Skills and Theory.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
