About me

 I am a trusted Psychodynamic/CBT Therapist.

As a therapist, I have helped many break through the obstacles holding them back. Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure or unfulfilled. Let me help you learn and develop better ways to handle the issues that are standing in the way of your goals.

I am proficient in issues including, Early Life Experiences, Childhood trauma, OCD/Phobias, Anxiety/Depression, Addiction, Alcohol/Drug issues, ADHD, Work Related Stress, PTSD, Bereavement, Anger Management, Domestic Violence, Panic Disorder, Autistic Spectrum.

I have many years experience and passionate about working in illicit drug and alcohol recovery and with young and adult clients with complex needs, social/health anxieties and stress related issues in both one to one and group therapy sessions.

I believe that exploring issues can help you to understand the situations better and realise how these issues have impacted your life. My goal is to help you overcome any mental health blocks to your problems. So you can move forward in a more proactive-productive way.

I am described as approachable and easy to get along with. I am empathetic and believe that you will find me to be relaxing, warm and non-judgemental. In our sessions we will work together to empower you to break through whatever you are experiencing. I will value you and encourage you to become autonomous and boundaried.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
