About me

About me

I know that for some reaching out and talking to someone you don't know about your very personal issues may be a daunting prospect.  I will do my best to make you feel comfortable.  You may find it helpful to have an initial 20 minute telephone consultation, free of charge.

I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor with a degree qualification as an integrative relational therapist.  My training allows more flexibility in being able to use different psychotherapy and counselling approaches to suit your individual needs.   The relational approach means we work together in a considered and empathic way to ensure the best outcome for you.  I will guide and support you throughout our time together to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and experience positive change, if needed.

I work confidentially within the ethical framework of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

My private practices are conveniently located in East Molesey,  KT8, just off Walton Road and St Margarets, TW1, 5 minutes walk from the station.  The rooms are lovely and comfortable, providing a relaxing space to talk.

Where to start?

Please contact me either via email, text message or phone call.  We can arrange an initial 20 minute telephone consultation, free of charge.  I'd like to know your reasons for seeking therapy, you may want to ask me questions too in order to get a feel for how I work and whether we may be the right fit.

If you decide you would like to have a session, we can agree on a time, date for an initial consultation for 1 hour.   If we decide to work together, the sessions are usually weekly at the same time each week where possible.  Each session is 50 minutes.    Short term or long term therapy is possible, depending on your needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have many years experience working with a wide range of clients from 16 years old within a NHS GP Practice,  including my private practice.

I trained at Middlesex University graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in Integrative Relational Counselling.

I am a registered member of the BACP and work within the guidelines outlined by the Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Please contact me if your needs or an area of concern for you is not listed above. We can discuss this further and if I am not the right person for you with the right experience, hopefully I will be able to refer you to someone who can help you.
