Leanne Theron, BA(Hons), Registered MBACP, Partner at the Practice
I am a degree qualified psychotherapist/counsellor who practices using an integrative relational approach. The integrative part allows me to draw from a number of theories, giving me the flexibility to tailor the therapy to your needs and to fully support you during your sessions. Working relationally, I will be considerate of our therapeutic relationship, mindful of your needs and goals.
Is therapy the right choice for me?
I understand that for some people it can be a daunting prospect to consider talking to a professional about themselves and their personal struggles, there is no pressure to talk about anything you don't feel ready to share. If it helps at all I would like to reassure you that you are taking the first step in trying to find clarity and a more content you.
You can talk to me about anything in a confidential and non judgemental space. I will always endeavour to be supportive and empathic throughout our time together.
What can you expect during our sessions together?
The initial session
This session is really a 'taster' session for you, offered at a discounted rate. It is your opportunity to share with me what has brought you to therapy, get a feel for how I work and to consider if it is the right choice for you. It is also an opportunity for me to learn more about you and what has brought you to therapy, giving me some idea of how we can work together.
What happens after our initial session?
You decide whether you would like to continue. Please don't feel like you need to make a decision straight away. If you're unsure you can go away and reflect on the first session before deciding what you would like to do.
The number of sessions is entirely up to you and we can review regularly to make sure you are getting the most from your time and money.
What kind of issues do I deal with?
There is no issue too small or too big! Please don't feel that you cannot talk to someone because your issue is not worthy or there are people out there with bigger issues. If it's something that is bothering you or making you unhappy, then it's very relevant to you and therefore very important to talk to someone who can help you through it.
Please feel free to contact me via email or mobile phone with any questions you may have.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have many years experience working with a wide range of clients, 16 years old and above, male and female within a NHS GP Practice.
Currently I work from my private practice in East Molesey and am flexible in being able to offer you either individual short term or long term therapy.
I trained at Middlesex University graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in Integrative Relational Counselling.
I am a registered member of the BACP and work within the guidelines outlined by the Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
