About me
Hello, I’m Lauren.
I strongly believe that I would not be here, in the position to support you, without the counselling support I received during significant life challenges of my own.
This experience gifted me the freedom of realising that what happens to you does not have to define you and this is something I strive to support my clients to experience too.
I'm here to remind you that you are not alone on this journey. I can offer you a listening ear, without judgment, to help you explore and develop a greater understanding of what is going on for you, the impact of this on you, your emotions and behaviours.
I can help lighten the heavy load of feelings of shame, fault, guilt, and blame. Together we can explore more compassionate ways of managing these difficult and uncomfortable emotions.
I can support you to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of who you are to recognise your values and needs, to enhance your relationship with yourself and all the unique qualities you bring to the world which you are such an important part of.
Together we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, focusing on what matters most to you. We will work together to develop greater clarity, self-awareness, and emotional well-being.
As a person-centred counsellor, I will put you in the heart of our work together. I provide a supportive, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly.
I offer in-person counselling from Market Deeping, Frognall & Peterborough. I also offer online and telephone counselling so you can have sessions from the comfort of your own home.
If you have any questions, please do reach out, all my contact details can be found at the top of my profile, and I aim to get back to you within 24 hours. If would like to book an introductory phone call, my available times are within the ‘book intro call’ at the top of my profile.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
