About me

Hi, my name is Lauren and before I begin I would just like to acknowledge and congratulate you for taking control and making the first step to finding a counsellor. Making the initial move can feel unnerving and possibly daunting, so I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my profile.

Within this current climate, people are struggling more than ever and you may find yourself feeling anxious, stressed or overwhelmed. It could be that you are struggling with everyday life or having relationship problems. You may feel you have lost yourself in some way or maybe your life has changed direction and you are not happy with the change. Whatever your reason for seeking counselling, I am here for you.

I am a person centred counsellor which means; I work at your pace and I will walk with you offering empathy and understanding with a non-judgemental attitude with whatever you may bring to the session. The space that I provide is confidential and I will support each client individually and it will be tailored to suit your needs.

I work with people with a variety of problems/difficulties but I specialize in anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, depression, mood disorders and confidence issues. I have experience working with young people 13 years +. Working with a variety of different issues/problems - including low mood/self esteem, self harm and anxiety.

I am qualified to work remotely which can be via zoom, Whats App, or the telephone. I have had further training and gained further qualifications to work with clients online or the telephone. In my professional  opinion; online and telephone is as equal as working face to face, as great things can be achieved by both, my clients have had some great outcomes from both face to face and online/telephone. One aspect with working online or the telephone that my clients and I particularly find beneficial and that is they can receive counselling from the comfort and safety of their home.

I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor and an individual member of the (BACP) - British Association For counselling And psychotherapy; which means that I work alongside this ethical framework.

When you feel you are ready, please contact me for a free no obligation consultation and let's see if together we can help you to find your blue sky again.

***At the moment I am now able to offer a discount for October - £30.00 per fifty minute session - from my original price of &35.00***

Thank you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
