About me
In each session, I provide a warm, empathetic, and open environment where you can freely delve into your thoughts and feelings. As a person-centered counselor, I follow your lead and support whatever you choose to discuss. Together, we'll navigate your feelings and experiences, aiming to enhance your self-awareness to better manage past, present, or future challenges.
As someone who identifies as queer, I bring a unique perspective to my counseling approach, which can be especially beneficial for clients grappling with issues surrounding their sexuality or gender identity. Drawing from my own lived experiences, I offer understanding and guidance that resonate with individuals on similar journeys. My goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where clients feel supported and empowered to explore and embrace their true selves.
Choosing the right counselor and fostering a strong therapeutic relationship are essential for effective therapy. That's why I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. This allows us to address any questions you may have and determine if we're a good fit. Ultimately, the decision to continue rests with you, and there's no pressure to continue if you're not comfortable.

Experience
I have worked with a mixture of young adults (16-21) and adults alike and have worked with a diverse range of people experiencing stress, loneliness, financial worries, exploring sexuality/gender identity, gang related experience, sexual abuse and suicidal ideation.
As well as being a counsellor, I also work as an advocate for a charity supporting clients who have experienced Domestiv Abuse, Sexual Violence and Hate Crime.

I keep my knowledge up-to-date with regular training, reading (most recent Gabor Mate- The Myth of Normal) and clinical supervision. Outside of work, I enjoy running, attending music events/festivals and travel.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
