About me
I’m Laura, a qualified counsellor based in Caergwrle, North Wales, and I work with adults aged 16+. I understand that taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’re not used to talking about your feelings or you’re unsure what to expect.
My approach is gentle and collaborative. We go at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on what matters most in your life right now. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to talk about — we can work that out together.
People contact me for support with:
- Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally drained
- Anxiety or constant worry
- Low mood or feeling “flat”
- Loss, change, or life transitions
- Relationship or family difficulties
- A sense that something just isn’t right
- Recent adult ADHD diagnosis
If you’re wondering whether counselling could help, you’re welcome to get in touch for a free 15-minute initial chat. This gives you the chance to ask questions, tell me a little about what’s been going on, and see whether I feel like the right fit for you — with no obligation to continue.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor. I hold a level 5 diploma in counselling from Wrexham University, referred to as Dip HE in Counselling. I also complete regular continuous professional development (CPD) to ensure my skills and knowledge are kept up to date with the latest developments in counselling.
I am a registered member of the BACP (registration number 404714). This means I agree to be bound by the BACP Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions and their Professional Conduct Procedure.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
