About me

Do you have issues, thoughts, behaviours or emotions affecting your life in a negative way and feel you are merely surviving rather than thriving?  If so, then please email or call me to arrange a free 30 minute consultation.  We can discuss how I can help you understand as well as manage your thoughts, feelings and emotions to enable you to improve your own well-being and happiness.

Do you sometimes feel like life is stressful, confusing, sad or overwhelming?

During these difficult times - having a safe, non-judgemental, peaceful space to talk and have time to be able to make sense of your emotions, thoughts and events in your life can really make a difference to meet your personal needs and to help you understand the root cause of your problems.

Thanks to my training as an integrative counsellor,  we will be able to adapt our sessions and the techniques we use to to find the ones that work for you personally.  I also believe that you are the expert of yourself and therefore, I will follow your lead regarding our exploration of your needs and the issues you would like to explore.

I offer you a safe, peaceful and confidential space for you to work through your thoughts, feelings and emotions.  I am here for you to help you reach your potential in a warm, authentic, non-judgmental, empathetic and understanding way.

I respect that every person is different and unique.  I will support you while exploring what is important to you at this time and help you to to work through these issues.  I can help you to cope with life's many obstacles and help you grow into the person you want to be.

I understand that reaching out for help can be hard and I have great respect for anyone who is brave enough to come to counselling to work through their issues.  I will meet you with warmth, kindness and without judgment.

My focus is to help you to reach your full potential and give you space to explore your experiences, thoughts and feelings, understand their impact on your life and then identify skills, strengths and strategies for you to use now and in the future.

I can help you to understand the underlying reasons why you may be using negative thoughts and behaviours which you may have learnt in the past - some of which may not be useful or appropriate in the present.

I am extremely passionate about supporting you every step of the way and will help you develop new attitudes towards managing life's most complex matters.

I work in a professional, ethical manner, adhering to the rules and ethics of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) of which I am a registered member.

I always work on building a trusting, respectful, non-judgemental and caring relationship with my clients in a safe space.  This is important because studies show that a strong therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor is essential to successful therapy outcomes for the client. Therefore, as mentioned before, I am happy to offer you a free 30 minute session to give you the opportunity to decide for yourself if you feel that we may be a good fit.

So, if you think I may be the therapist for you, then please call me for a free half hour consultation.  Please send me an email or phone me and I will get back to you as soon as possible to arrange a Zoom, Whatsapp or telephone consultation.

I will be offering face to face counselling sessions in the near future but at the moment our sessions would be via Zoom, Whatsapp or telephone.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
