About me
I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist offering therapy for anxiety problems (e.g. Panic, OCD, Problematic Worry, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety, PTSD) and low mood and depression. I have a particular clinical interest and experience working with trauma.
I offer a confidential and empathetic service and place a great deal of importance on the therapeutic relationship and working together with the client to tailor therapy to meet their individual needs.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have extensive experience helping people work with their emotional and mental heath difficulties both in the NHS and in private practice. I have worked as an occupational therapist, psychotherapist and clinical supervisor in a variety of mental health services and psychological therapy service specialities.

I receive regular clinical supervision and ensure I continually develop my practice and skills. I adhere to the standards and code of conduct of the BABCP including safeguarding, risk management and the management of sensitive personal data.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

In addition to direct clinical work I have a particular interest in clinical supervision and facilitating the learning and support of therapists. I have clinical supervision training and have many years of clinical supervisor experience both in the NHS and in private practice. I have undertaken clinical supervision training and attend supervisor update training on a regular basis. I am a BABCP accredited clinical supervisor.
