About me

PEACE of mind, valued CHANGE and FREEDOM to live a life that makes you happy. When you're struggling with your mental health, reaching out for help can feel daunting. Whether you're facing generalised anxiety disorder, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, anxiety or navigating the challenges of psychosis or bipolar disorder, finding someone you trust is key. I'm Laura – a compassionate CBT therapist, my priority is creating a safe, collaborative space where we can work together towards meaningful change.

I have over 10 years’ experience in mental healthcare, I’ve worked across a range of settings, including acute inpatient wards, community mental health teams, and the IAPT service. I have experience working with neurodivergent clients and tailor therapy to meet each person’s unique way of thinking and processing the world.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) skills.
I work in a person-centred way, meaning we focus on what you want from therapy. I use models that help you to make sense of your difficulties and consider your life experiences which have contributed to how you make sense of the world. Whether you’re looking to manage generalised anxiety disorder, recover from trauma, or understand complex mental health challenges, we’ll work together - at your pace - toward your goals.

Empathy, trust, and collaboration are at the heart of my practice. I bring warmth and presence to each session, helping you feel heard and supported, while also offering the tools and strategies needed to act and move forward.

What you can expect from therapy with me:

A non-judgmental, confidential space
A collaborative and tailored approach
Evidence-based tools to manage difficult thoughts and emotions
A focus on your strengths, goals, and values
Support to overcome challenges and build the life you want

If you're ready to begin therapy, or even if you're just considering it, I welcome you to get in touch. Together, we can take the first steps toward helpful and realistic change.
