About me
You may experience a period when things feel overwhelming. In such circumstances, it can be challenging to find the right support.
You may:
-be struggling with life transitions, anxious thoughts or low mood
-feel isolated or lonely
-feel worthless
-feel overstimulated in the world or with people
During these times I strive to provide therapeutic mental health support to my clients.
I use person-centred and psychodynamic approaches in my work with clients. Person-centred therapy focuses on creating a trusting relationship between the counsellor and the client in the present, believing you are the expert on yourself. Therapy can help you increase your self-awareness and gain access to your internal resources and strengths. Psychodynamic therapy can help you look at how past experiences may subconsciously impact on your feeling, thinking and behaviour today.
I have an interest in working with clients who may experience low mood, anxiety, life transitions, loneliness and self-esteem issues.
I have a special interest in raising awareness of being a highly-sensitive person (also called sensory processing sensitivity), how to cope with the challenges and also notice the positive aspects of this personality trait.
I am also committed to support introverted clients to explore, come to terms with and embrace this personality trait.
I will aim to reply to enquiries within 5 working days. (Tue.-Sat.) Please note that I have a busy private practice and some slots may be fully booked.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have a CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body) Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling.
I am a Registered Member of the BACP, (The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) a governing body that oversees the work of counsellors in the UK. I adhere to their Ethical Framework and I am subject to their complaints procedure. I am currently working towards accreditation. I am committed to my Continuous Professional Development to provide the best possible support to my clients.
I am fully insured and hold a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. I am also qualified to work online securely.
During my Diploma Course placement, I worked for a Counselling Centre in SW London providing talking therapy to adult clients online and in-person, too. Since then I have started my private practice.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
