About me
I truly believe in the power of counselling—not just as a professional, but from my own lived experience. I have witnessed, and personally felt, the profound healing and growth that can happen when people are given the space to explore their struggles knowing they will receive empathy and acceptance.
At the heart of my work is creating a safe, supportive environment where you can gently explore the difficult—and sometimes traumatic—experiences you’ve been through. Together, we can make sense of what feels overwhelming, uncover new perspectives, and nurture a deeper understanding of yourself. My aim is to empower you to move towards self-acceptance, contentment, and a growing trust in your own ability to navigate whatever life brings.
I offer counselling from my private practice, based in a warm and welcoming home environment, designed to help you feel safe and at ease. For those who prefer or require it, I also provide sessions online, ensuring flexibility and accessibility.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited counsellor with ten years’ experience providing one-to-one counselling for a wide range of adults from diverse backgrounds.
My work has given me extensive experience in supporting people with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, and other complex psychological challenges. I also have experience working with neurodiverse individuals, tailoring my approach to ensure each client feels understood and supported.
I practise with a pluralistic approach, which means I draw on different therapeutic models, skills, and insights from both my professional training and personal experience. This flexibility allows me to adapt the way I work to suit each person’s unique needs. I believe counselling is most effective when it’s collaborative, so I encourage open conversation throughout our work together, helping you move towards the healing or personal goals that matter most to you.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I understand how hard it can be to take the first step towards counselling, and how unsettling change can feel—even when it’s a change for the better. Reaching out for support takes courage, and you deserve recognition for giving yourself this chance to find the right help.
If you’d like to explore working with me, I offer a brief phone call before arranging any appointments. This gives you the opportunity to get a sense of whether I feel like the right counsellor for you.
Whoever you choose to begin this journey with, I wish you strength, healing, and all the very best moving forward.
