About me

Feeling misunderstood, brushed aside, or as though there is something “wrong” with you? I’m Laura, and I specialise in working with neurodivergent women aged 16+, whether diagnosed, self-identified, or simply wondering if this fits for you. I work online with clients across the UK.

I offer a judgement-free, collaborative space for women who have often felt labelled as “dramatic” or “too sensitive”; and those who just want to finally feel heard, understood, and accepted.

My therapeutic style is integrative, meaning I tailor therapy to your individual needs and goals, rather than taking a 'one size fits all' approach.

I acknowledge the impact our menstrual cycles have on our mental health and have an expanding awareness of common reproductive disorders such as PCOS, endometriosis & hypothalamic amenorrhea. Having dealt with reproductive health issues myself, I am very passionate about helping those struggling with this.

Training, qualifications & experience

My therapeutic style is integrative, meaning I don’t have a “one size fits all” approach. I combine different therapeutic methods to treat your individual needs. Some of these include psychodynamic therapy, relational, humanistic, somatic therapy, and gestalt. I work creatively & holistically, meaning I am open to exploring a variety of methods with my clients, such as imagery work, cards, drawing etc.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
