About me

Hello! Thank you for visiting my page. I am a down to earth, caring and experienced Clinical Psychologist offering private sessions to adults who are struggling with their emotional wellbeing. I offer in-person sessions at The Wellbeing Rooms in Bearsden, North Glasgow and also offer UK-wide appointments via telephone or video call.

I use tailored, evidence-based approaches (including EMDR, IFS, ACT, CFT & CBT) to help clients understand how their difficulties developed, factors keeping these going and ways of helping to break vicious cycles and change old behavioural patterns. I am happy to adapt therapy for individual learning styles and preferences and being neurodivergent myself, am very comfortable working with neurodivergent individuals.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have worked helping clients across the lifespan in the field of Clinical Psychology since 2003 in a range of settings, including adult mental health, sleep medicine, chronic pain, oncology, stroke psychology, cardiac rehabilitation, liaison psychiatry and neuropsychology. I completed my Clinical Psychology Doctorate at the University of Glasgow in 2010.

I have experience in helping clients with mental health difficulties such as anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD and low self-esteem and have particular expertise in helping neurodivergent individuals (formal or self-diagnosed) who are struggling with aspects related to their neurotype. I also have a wealth of experience in helping clients suffering with emotional difficulties related to chronic physical health conditions.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
