About me

Scrolling through therapist profiles can feel more than a little daunting.

I work with business owners and senior professionals who are seen as capable and high performing but privately feel a constant pressure to perform and prove themselves.

From the outside, it looks like things are going well. But inside, your mind doesn’t really switch off: overthinking decisions, replaying conversations, and wondering if you’ve done enough.

You are in the right place.

How to work with me:

Clarity Session – £150
A 90-minute one-off session with no further commitment required. This is a chance for us to explore what is bringing you to therapy, how therapy may help, and what kind of support would be most useful. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of your difficulties and a plan for the next steps.

Individual Therapy Sessions – £100
Ongoing 60-minute therapy sessions tailored to your needs.

Six-Session Block – £540
A block of six 60-minute sessions at a reduced rate, offering focused support and space to begin making meaningful changes.

Therapy in Edinburgh: Mondays in Edinburgh, EH6 6BZ.
Online therapy across the UK: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

I see people like you who:

  • Lie awake thinking of all the things you didn't do that day and what you need to do tomorrow
  • Wake in the morning with a pit of dread in your stomach
  • Struggle to switch off and are mentally “on” most of the time
  • Second-guess decisions, even when you’re experienced and capable
  • Feel pressure to maintain high standards, but it never quite feels enough
  • Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or exhausted despite things looking “fine” on paper

You might have managed on your own for a long time. Reaching out can feel like a big step, but also a big relief when it’s done.

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Often, people come because they’re simply tired of feeling stuck in the same patterns and want things to feel different.

How CBT can help:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a practical, structured approach that helps you understand what’s driving these patterns and how to change them.

Together, we’ll work to:

  • Break cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, overworking and procrastination
  • Develop more balanced, realistic ways of thinking
  • Help you feel clearer and more confident in your decisions

Taking the first step:

Get in touch by emailing kirsty.cbt@gmail.com I try to respond within 24 hours.

In our first session, we’ll talk through what’s been going on for you and explore whether this feels like the right fit. You don’t need to prepare anything, just come as you are.

There’s no obligation to continue. But many people leave that first session with a sense of relief - like a penny has dropped and something has started to shift.

If you choose to continue, you can expect to:

  • Understand what's keeping you stuck
  • Learn practical, evidence-based strategies to change unhelpful patterns
  • Feel more confident in your decisions without constant second-guessing
  • Feel able to set and work towards goals without worry and procrastination
  • Leave with a plan so you can sustain your progress even after therapy ends

About me:

I’m a qualified and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in Edinburgh specialising in working with people who appear successful on the outside, but feel stuck with self-doubt, perfectionism, or overwhelm.

Both online and face-face I offer a calm, supportive space alongside a focused, structured approach to help you make meaningful progress.

If you’re even slightly thinking “this sounds like me”, you’re very welcome to get in touch. Even sending that first email can feel like a step in the right direction.

I’m warm, calm, and approachable, but I’ll also gently challenge you so you can break free from unhelpful patterns. I keep therapy practical and jargon-free, making it easy for busy professionals to apply what they learn to real life.
