About me
Hello. Looking for therapy that sees you as a person, and not a problem or a label, but also seeks to understand what those labels might mean for you? I offer online psychotherapy sessions for individuals, couples or families, using a systemic (or family) psychotherapy approach.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have over 20 years NHS experience, qualified as a clinical psychologist in 2009 and systemic psychotherapist (family therapist) in 2018.
In this time I have worked with adults, children, couples, families, and teams regarding many forms of difficulties, from those who are struggling with sadness and worries to people detained in an inpatient hospital.
I have lots of experience in working with carers and neurodiverse families (learning disabilities, autism), and have lived experience in this area.
My current NHS work is in Critical Care, and previously I worked in an Adult Learning Disabilities team. During the pandemic, I was a volunteer therapist for a free-therapy service for NHS and frontline workers.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Additional information
My fees are set using a sliding, scale, with the standard fee set at £100 per 55 minute online session, and I have a limited number of sessions available at a concession rate for those on benefits or excluded from employment.
If attending for family or couple therapy I suggest that you attend no more than fortnightly or monthly, so you can try things out and come back to reflect.
I like to begin by having a free initial telephone conversation with prospective clients, to establish if I am the right person to offer you support. Contact me to arrange this at a mutually convenient time.
