About me

Everyone is unique and works in their own way. It is important to me, to find what works for you and what it is that you need to make the positive changes that you want to make. I move at your pace and your safety and comfort are the most important things within our therapeutic space.

Everyone encounters moments of turmoil in their lives, and having the right person alongside you can make those challenges feel more manageable and less isolating.

Reaching out for support is often the hardest step. Choosing to speak with someone impartial, someone who will listen without judgment and help you make sense of what’s going on in your mind is an incredibly brave decision. It marks the beginning of meaningful, positive change.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a level 4 qualified counsellor, trained in therapeutic counselling.

I have experience supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief, low self‑esteem, and addiction. I also work with relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, and have specific experience in child loss and fertility issues.

My practice includes working with neurodivergent adults as well as individuals across different ages and backgrounds. I aim to offer a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where each person feels heard, understood, and supported in their own unique journey.

I have trained in working with victims of domestic abuse and coercive control, and I bring a compassionate, person‑centred approach to this sensitive and complex area. I also have undertaken training in compassion‑focused therapy, particularly in helping clients understand and manage anger with kindness and self-awareness.

Alongside this, I have supported young people navigating bereavement, helping them make sense of their emotions during times of profound loss.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
