Kim Pearl (MBACP Sr Accred) Dip. Couns,
Choosing a counsellor can feel overwhelming - I’m happy to have a chat on the phone to talk through why you feel you might need some help right now.
I am a Senior BACP registered and accredited counsellor with over 20 years extensive and varied experience in private practice and public, educational and voluntary secttings.
I worked for over two decades as a staff counsellor for a large London NHS Trust.
I aim to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential setting for clients to be able to explore their concerns and feel heard and understood.
In addition I have a deep personal commitment as a supervisor to encourage new practitioners in the development of their work.
Choosing a therapist or supervisor is very subjective and it is important we would be comfortable with each other. To this end I welcome phone or e-mail enquiries and offer a low cost (£30) no-obligation introductory session so we can see how we might work together
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained as a person centred practitioner but have added several other trainings over the years and would now describe myself as an integrative, humanistic, relational and phenomenological therapist.
I aim to work creatively, sometimes playfully and often challengingly as required. I would always want to do so with the utmost care, respect and thoughtfulness.
I am also a trained mediator and Mindfulness teacher and have recently been doing some further training in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes.
