About me

You don’t have to carry everything on your own.

Maybe you’re someone who’s learned to cope by keeping things together on the outside while quietly struggling on the inside. Maybe parts of your past still echo into your present, shaping how you trust, relate, or see yourself, even if you don’t always name it as 'trauma'. Or maybe you simply feel disconnected from who you are and tired of trying to manage it all alone.

I offer a steady, grounding space where you can slow down, be heard, and make sense of what’s been too heavy to hold on your own. Sessions with me are calm, thoughtful, and reflective. I won’t rush you or push for solutions, instead I’ll stay alongside you as you explore your experiences at your own pace. My focus is on helping you reconnect with your inner strength, understand the patterns that shape your life, and begin to feel more at home in yourself.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in community arts, supporting people who often felt unheard, marginalised, or on the edges of things. Those years taught me the importance of meeting people where they are, listening without judgement, and honouring the quieter ways humans express their stories. That background still shapes my approach.  I pay attention to the parts of you that might have been overlooked, misunderstood, or dismissed in the past.

Much of my work is with people whose lives have been touched by trauma or difficult early experiences, whether that shows up as anxiety, low self-worth, relationship struggles, emotional numbness, or a sense of being “too much” or “not enough.” You don’t need to have a clear label for what you’ve been through, we can explore that together.

If something in this speaks to you, you’re welcome to reach out for a brief, no-pressure conversation. It’s a chance to get a feel for whether we might be a good fit with no expectations, just a gentle first step toward support.

This is an inclusive space where difference is respected, and people of all genders and sexualities are welcome.

Whatever you’re carrying, it matters, and you don’t have to carry it alone.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
