About me

Hi, my name is Kim, and I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP. I am passionate about therapy and the value that it can bring to your life. Working with a qualified therapist can help to make sense of struggles and gain a fresh perspective. A good therapeutic relationship can heal wounds and help you to feel whole again.

Working as an integrative therapist means that I work with you and tailor the therapy to who you are as an individual, using a blend of person centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural (CBT) approaches, according to what is appropriate for you.

I understand it can be a big step to find a therapist that you want to work with. I am happy to answer any questions by message or to have a free initial 15-20 minute chat to see if we might be able to work together. Please get in touch if you have any questions or if you would like an initial chat.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Foundation Degree in Science in Integrative Counselling Practice. This was a 3-year degree BACP-accredited course with 1.5 year placement. I qualified in September 2025 and have been practising since then.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

So far, I have completed further training in:

  • ASIST Suicide Prevention
  • LGBTQIA+ Awareness with The Rainbow Project
  • Safeguarding
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Domestic Violence
  • Intergenerational Trauma
  • Certification course in Shame Resilience
  • Introductory training in Integrative Family Systems Therapy and Compassionate Inquiry.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
