About me
If you're here, trauma may still be affecting you or someone you know's present. This might be through anxiety, flashbacks, hypervigilance, shutdown, dissociation, panic attacks, sleep difficulties or a constant sense of being on edge. Many of the people I work with feel exhausted by carrying something that feels 'over', whether a single event or multiple events over a short or long period of time, yet still shapes their daily lives.
I specialise in working with acute, chronic and complex PTSD using a fast, effective and non-invasive technique called The Rewind Technique where you don't even have to open up about any traumatic events if this feels too difficult. Many clients experience meaningful shifts after just their first experience of this technique.
We'll help you understand how trauma affects your nervous system so your symptoms begin to make sense rather than feeling frightening or confusing. We'll then used targeted techniques to process traumatic memories and reduce their emotional intensity so they become a narrative memory as opposed to a fight-or-flight inducing one.
We'll work in a calm and supportive environment where you can feel heard and understood throughout the whole process. My aim is not open-ended therapy, but helping you move forward with greater stability, clarity and control.
If you're ready to step out of survival mode and rediscover that sense of self trauma might be stealing from you, I welcome you to get in touch.
Testimonials;
"I had been to therapy sessions before I wasn’t holding out much hope as they hadn’t helped in the past so why would they now? My first session with Kieran was literally life changing. The trauma was replaced with happiness and I was given techniques to help me keep my emotions in check. There hasn’t been a day where I’ve felt useless, worthless and not good enough. My smile has been on my face because I am in such an amazing place that I haven’t been in for such a long time. If you are thinking of seeing Kieran, do it. It will be the best thing you ever did. He will change your life. Thank you so much for everything Kieran. You brought me back."
"Kieran was amazing from the first meeting and all the way through he made me feel very comfortable and made me feel seen for the first time in a long time. he helped me through everything and has pointed me in the right direction with various tools to help keep on the start and narrow."
"Kieran was brilliant and has helped me work through some of the hardest experiences of my life and deal with it in a healthy way whilst i felt in a welcome space and nom judgmental conversation"
"Kieran has been absolutely amazing. Very understanding and patient. I could tell from my first session until my last one that he had listened and taken onboard my worries and problems and would have strategies and techniques that i could implement for the next meeting that he had researched for me personally to set targets and goals that were not only beneficial but realistic. Thanks Kieran, you have helped me think and see things in a completely different and positive way!"
"Kieran put me at ease, we were able to find common interests in sport and that allowed me to fully open up and that is something i have struggled with in the past. its fair to say I don't think i’d be able to think clearly as i do and be in the position i am if it wasn’t for him helping me make progress."
Training, qualifications & experience
My background includes a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy, an Undergraduate degree in
Psychology with Sports Science (BSc (Hons)) and a Masters degree in Sport & Exercise Psychology.
I am a full time, self-employed Psychotherapist and work with a vast array of amazing people seeking that little extra help to unlock their best self.
I love working with people from all walks of life struggling with addictions, trauma, depression, sleep difficulties, and those feeling emotionally stuck. Since becoming a therapist, I have repeatedly seen deep-rooted trauma being lifted, the vast majority of the time in a single session, which I still find truly incredible. Helping people get back to feeling themselves is such a passion of mine!
