About me

Hi, I’m Khushi. I’m an integrative therapist who works with young people (16+) and adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, identity questions, or the weight of experiences that haven’t had space to be spoken about. I offer a calm, steady place where you don’t have to hold everything together or find the “right” words. You can simply come as you are.

My approach is integrative, which means I tailor our sessions to what you personally need rather than fitting you into a single method. Some days you might want space to talk and reflect, other days you might want something more practical to help make sense of your thoughts or feelings. We follow what feels right for you, at your pace.

There’s a moment in Inside Out where a character says, “Crying helps me slow down and obsess over the weight of life’s problems.” I return to this line often because it captures something many of us were never shown - that emotions aren’t a problem to hide or push through, but a way of understanding ourselves more deeply.

My style is warm, conversational, and grounded in listening without judgment. I pay attention to the quieter parts of your story, the things you dismissed, the moments you brushed aside, the emotions you learned to silence because life demanded you stay strong.

Together, we slow down just enough to hear what these parts have been trying to tell you. Here, you don’t need to have everything under control. You just get to be you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified psychotherapist with an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and a registered member of the BACP. My training in integrative therapy means I’m able to draw from Person-centred therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and Attachment Theory, in a way that supports different needs and ways of working. It gives us flexibility, so sessions feel tailored, not one-size-fits-all.

I’ve worked with both young people (16+) and adults across university services, community organisations, and longer-term therapy settings. Much of my experience centres on supporting clients through trauma, including the effects of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), emotional neglect, and patterns shaped by earlier environments. I also have a strong interest in how culture, family expectations, and identity influence the way we understand ourselves and navigate the world.

My practice is inclusive and welcoming to all. I work with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, identity and cultural conflict, low self-esteem, and grief, as well as the quieter feelings that emerge from experiences that were never fully processed. Often, the past continues to shape how we think, feel, and relate. Our work is about noticing how these experiences show up now, easing their impact, and helping you reconnect with your strengths, choices, and sense of self.

I pay attention not only to what’s said but also to how emotions can sit in the body. We approach this with care, using it as another way of understanding your experience rather than something to analyse or fix.

My aim is to create a steady, supportive environment where you can explore your emotions at your own pace and begin to move toward the kind of life that feels more aligned with who you are.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
