About me
Kevin Fieber (43), MBACP, 5 years professional experience.
I'm a grateful recovering drug addict and alcoholic, and I've been in addiction recovery for over six years. I also live with and manage sky high ADHD, which comes in line with many that suffer addiction - you could say these are my specialist areas. If you are struggling with crippling anxiety, depression, addiction, neurodiversity, and all these symptoms of the 21st century - there is hope. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I am here to support & empower you along your journey. The first step is simply an honest admission, that it might be time to talk.
My life experience naturally gives me a profound insight to those challenged by addiction, substance misuse, and neurodiversity.
ADDICTION
Having spent in excess of 20 years in active addiction prior to becoming a counsellor, I have the priviliged position of combining my professional expertise with this lived experience. Perhaps my proudest attribute as a counsellor, is my passion for addiction recovery and the opportunity to help others progress, a day at a time.
NEURODIVERSITY
As a late diagnosis for ADHD and autism, my younger years were plagued by the challenges presented through undiagnosed neurodiversity. Thankfully, we have the tools and resources these days to live a life of acceptance, understanding, and inclusion.
TRAUMA
Only when I got sober did I begin to understand the impact of adversity. Fear not if it feels scary. We can only heal the things we can feel.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN MY FIRST SESSION?
You can expect your first session to be relaxed, and not too heavy on the shoulders. This session is mostly about getting acquainted, and establishing a brief insight to what challenges you are facing, and how we can collaborate on them.
I have a relaxed approach to therapy and strive to meet all my clients where they're at, with open mindedness, compassion, non judgement, and curiosity. Reaching out and saying 'I need help' can be the hardest thing to do, and seem like it's a feat only for the weak and needy - it is however the bravest, kindest, most courageous act of self love and self respect that someone can do. Well done for making it this far..

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
