About me
Is anxiety, overthinking & self-doubt holding you back?
Maybe you're constantly juggling responsibilities, but your own needs keep slipping down the list. The mental load feels relentless, and even small decisions feel overwhelming because you're always second-guessing yourself. You might notice it's affecting your sleep, energy, and mood.
Do any of these sound familiar?
* Overthinking conversations after they happen, worrying if you said the wrong thing.
* Struggling to make decisions in case you get it wrong, leaving you feeling stuck.
* Feeling anxious about whether you’re doing enough, yet too drained to do anything more.
* A constant sense of guilt, making it hard to relax or be fully present.
Instead of helping you move forward, anxiety and self-doubt keep you feeling stuck—mentally exhausted, procrastinating, or struggling to switch off. Maybe you’ve found yourself scrolling more, just trying to quiet your mind.
And then there’s the way you speak to yourself—your inner critic is relentless. You know you’re too hard on yourself, but you don’t know how to change it. Self-love feels out of reach, but you just want to feel more at ease in yourself.
How can counselling help?
Counselling gives you space to step outside your own head and talk things through with someone who really listens. It can help you make sense of your thoughts, understand yourself better, and build clarity around what really matters to you.
Together, we can also explore practical ways to manage anxiety and overthinking, while developing self-compassion and small, doable steps to rebuild confidence and self-esteem—without the pressure of ‘fixing’ everything at once.
You don’t have to keep battling through alone. If this sounds familiar, I’d love to help.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and have trained in Integrative Counselling, which draws on a range of approaches, including Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, and CBT. This allows me to tailor my approach, helping clients explore the past, understand the present, and build towards the future in a way that feels right for them.
Before starting my private practice, I gained clinical experience at CrossReach and Queen Margaret University, working with a wide range of clients facing challenges such as low confidence, self-esteem, life transitions, stress, anxiety, and relationship difficulties, including separation and divorce.
Alongside my counselling qualifications, I am also a qualified Health Coach. This gives me an awareness of the deep connection between mind and body, allowing me to consider factors like sleep, self-care, movement, and stress when exploring emotional well-being. While counselling is always at the heart of my work, this additional insight can help clients recognise patterns and make small, meaningful changes that support both their mental and emotional health.
I offer both short-term and long-term counselling, with clients having full control over the length of their journey. Some prefer to set a timeframe from the start, while others keep it open-ended, reviewing progress as needed. Whatever the approach, counselling is a space led by you, at your own pace.
