Kelvyn Lynch Dip Integrative Arts Counsellor (MBACP) & Mindfulness Practitioner.

About me

Thank you for viewing my details. I run a confidential and compassion based practice in a safe and secure environment for those experiencing anxiety, depression and relationship problems.

My work and experience as an Integrative therapist, of over 15 years can provide you with short and open ended counselling and Mindfulness Training as well as other psychological interventions including Transactional Analysis (the method of understanding how we communicate with others and how others communicate with us and the positive or negative effects this can have have on our emotional state, self-esteem and ability to function with emotional resilience).

It can be very hard to make the decision to enter in to therapy but by making that first step is the step to understanding the very nature of how the mind works and what we can do to be effective in changing negative thought patterns and unwanted belief systems.

The experience you will have when working with me is underpinned by my own life experiences that have guided me to work with young people and adults and knowing this you can feel confident that you are with a qualified therapist who will listen at a deeper level with an open heart and acceptance.

Working with Compassion and Acceptance is at the heart of the therapeutic interventions I offer and I encourage all my clients to engage in the practice of Mindfulness to use as a lifelong tool to manage anxiety and stress, this of course has to be a personal choice and can be agreed at the beginning of your sessions with me. I also offer Virtual Reality treatment for phobias, which Include: Fear of Flying, Fear of Spiders/animals, Fear of Heights, Fear of Needles, OCD, Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety in a variety of settings, Test Anxiety for school/college exams, PTSD

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
