About me
Hello, I'm Keeley. Thank you for looking at my profile. Are you searching for a warm and welcoming space where you can share your feelings and sort through those tricky thoughts? You're not alone, and I'm here to help.
I appreciate the individuality of each person and their unique experiences and can offer a counselling space that is first and foremost non-judgemental, supportive and welcoming. A space where you can openly express your feelings, experiences and challenges, enabling you to feel seen, heard and truly understood.
My role in the partnership is to assist you in exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviour, whilst in a safe and empathic environment. The counselling journey is different for each one of us, and by working collaboratively with you, an environment of trust and acceptance can be created, helping you to explore your emotions and navigate life's obstacles.
As for how I got here, I came to the counselling environment with a genuine drive to support people. I had a change of career in recent years and as a result, I acknowledge and am aware of how the day-to-day pressures of work and life can impact and add challenges to our lives.
I’ve worked with carers via a charity with the focus on supporting adult carers so they can continue to care for others without losing sight of their own well-being. Counselling can create a space where carers are able to recognise their own needs, have their voices heard, help with their physical and mental wellbeing and ensure they are fully understood and feel valued in their caring role.
From personal experience, I know how selecting the right counsellor can be a lot to process and can feel daunting. I recognise making the decision to talk and share your thoughts and/or confusion about what you are feeling can be challenging. The relationship and rapport between Counsellor and Client is an essential element of the counselling process, I offer a free initial call to have a chat and see if I could be the counsellor for you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
