About me
Hey, I'm Kayleigh, a integrative therapist based in central Bristol at The Treatment Rooms, Park Row, offering flexible sessions throughout the day and early evening, Monday, Thursday and Friday.
Maybe there are days you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or just not feeling like yourself or who you want to be anymore? Is anxiety is making it hard to switch off, or you're being harder on yourself than you'd ever be to anyone else. Have you been diagnosed with ADHD, or suspect that there is more at play on difficult days? Whatever you are facing we can navigate that together, and explore new ways of managing, work towards realistic and supportive strategies, make time for self care, challenge unhelpful patterns and thoughts, as well as building a kinder and more compassionate internal voice.
I provide a space where we can explore what’s happening in your life, understand patterns of behaviour or experiences that may be holding you back, while working together towards finding yourself again. By drawing on your goals and needs, we develop strategies to manage and improve self-esteem & confidence, stress, anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) or depression, and help understand and support your needs for wellbeing. Throughout our sessions, we work closely, tailoring sessions around you as an individual, using your preferences and goals to enable you to feel more confident and empowered as you navigate whatever challenges come your way.
How We Can Work Together
I believe in working pluralistically, meaning our sessions are shaped around your individual needs, preferences, and goals. I draw from evidence-based approaches that support building self compassion, managing anxiety, behaviours and stress, as well as building acceptance and resilience such as, within Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), person centred therapy as well as offering a chance to simply explore whatever has brought you here. I work from a place of building and developing acceptance, care and compassion towards oneself, including helping to give you the tools to work through difficulties and work towards improved mental health.
What Our Sessions Could Look Like
Some days we talk and reflect, work through strategies, and problem-solve, other days we may explore or use mindful approaches to ground and regulate. Both are welcome and we’ll find what feels manageable, safe, and helpful.
Let's Work Together
I offer in-person & online counselling sessions Monday (2pm - 7pm) Thursday (2pm-7pm) and Friday(8am-6pm), at the Treatment Rooms, Park Row, BS1 .
To get started we can book in a free 30 minute initial session, online or by phone. This gives us a chance to get to know each other better, discuss what you need and how you would like to work through your goals together. Introduction sessions can be booked via counselling directory, or get in touch via my website, email or whatsapp.
Whether you are seeking counselling for stress, self confidence, ADHD, anxiety, or depression, or simply a supportive space to process life, let's explore it together.
Training, qualifications & experience
Experience
I have worked as a therapist with adults and young people in charities and educational settings, supporting people from a wide variety of backgrounds through diverse experiences and challenges.
Alongside my private practice, I provide young peoples counselling in schools and privately, and am a qualified teacher with specialist experience supporting young people in alternative and SEND provisions, including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning or social-emotional needs. I draw from this experience in both my work with adults and young people, to provide therapy to those who may find it difficult to access support and understanding around mental health related to neurodivergence.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
