About me

At times, we can feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious or just not ourselves. During these difficult periods a dedicated space and time to pause and process our thoughts, feelings and experiences can help us to heal and work out how to move forward. The way I work is non-judgemental and rooted in creating a safe and supportive space where you can feel truly heard. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable and accepted when opening up in therapy, and I aim to meet you where you are, at your own pace. I work with both adults and young people who could benefit from genuine, supportive and professional therapeutic sessions.

My approach is person-centred/integrative, drawing on a variety of therapeutic models to tailor sessions to my individual clients needs. I have experience working with a range of issues and have a special interest in working with those who have experienced domestic abuse and those with diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD. I am able to offer both online and in-person sessions.

Please feel free to reach out to arrange a free phone consultation. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about therapy or the way that I work and we can see if we feel able to work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

My approach is person-centred/integrative, drawing on a range of therapeutic models to tailor each session to my individual clients needs. I have worked as a Counsellor since qualifying in 2017 (FdSc Counselling) and have supported people who are having difficulties with their mental health in various roles for the past 18 years.

I specialise in supporting those who have experienced domestic abuse and those who are living with diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD. I am also experienced in working with those who experience anxiety, low self-esteem, self-harm, eating disorders and OCD.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
