About me
I am a counsellor who has supported many people through distress, illness, pain, loss, relationship difficulties and all sorts of problems, helping them to achieve personal goals, but mostly, I am someone who is interested in your experiences and your life. You will remain in charge of your feelings, as you know yourself best but with gently support and your engagement, counselling can help you feel so much better on the inside.
I have helped people re- connect with themselves, a vital and hugely important relationship. It is often that relationship that needs some attention.
Counselling can show you the importance of your own thoughts and feelings, how you really 'feel on the inside'.
My way of working involves listening to you and supporting you to figure out the meaning behind your own story, so you can process your feelings, some which you may be unaware of, or just haven't been able to consider. Therapy takes a little time and the more we work together the better the outcome.
Feel free to contact me to see if talking to me can help you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor, ( talking therapy) and a member of the governing body NCPS ( national counselling and psychotherapy society. I have years of experience supporting distressed families in a hospital environment and now counselling clients with issues around, anxiety, depression, loss, change, health, bereavement, low confidence, self esteem issues, low motivation, and low mood.
In my years of experience I understand that we are all very different, but what is the same is that we all need to feel valued and listened to. I can offer you 'time' where I can listen to your important story, and help you make sense of what you are going through.
I am happy to hold sessions with you in person, over the telephone or via a video link.
