About me
If you are feeling distressed, anxious, low, upset, confused, bereaved, and/or in pain then I would like to help you feel better, because feeling that way is just awful.
Often talking things through with someone who has a good listening ear and other skills can help you figure things out more thoroughly and that can help YOU feel better about yourself. We are all complex individuals and at times in our lives, talking to someone can really help. Always know that your thoughts and feelings are just as important as anyone else's. Its about how you really 'feel on the inside'. Feel free to contact me to see if talking to me can help you.
My way of working involves listening to you and supporting you to figure out the meaning behind your story, so you can process your feelings, some which you may be unaware of, or just haven't been able to consider. Therapy takes a little time and the more we work together the better the outcome.
I am a counsellor who has supported many people through distress, illness, pain and loss, but first and foremost, I am someone who is interested in your experiences and your life. You will remain in charge of your feelings, as you know yourself best but with my gently support and your engagement, counselling can help you feel better on the inside.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor and a member of the governing body NCPS ( national counselling and psychotherapy society. I have years of experience supporting distressed families in a hospital environment and now counselling clients with issues around, anxiety, depression, loss, change, health, bereavement, low confidence, self esteem issues, low motivation, and low mood.
In my years of experience I understand that we are all very different, but what is the same is that we all need to feel valued and listened to. I can offer you 'time' where I can listen to your important story, and help you make sense of what you are going through.
I am happy to hold sessions with you in person, over the telephone or via a video link.
