About me

I am a bilingual (English and Cantonese) psychodynamic psychotherapist working with adults in London. With over two decades of corporate experience across major cities worldwide, I understand the weight and demands of high-paced professional life firsthand.

Alongside my private practice, I work at the Royal College of Art counselling students and volunteer at a hospital chaplaincy supporting patients going through cancer treatment. My wish is to see people live lives unrestricted by their past experiences or present circumstances, and it is my purpose to walk alongside you on that journey.  My background also spans into hospital and university settings, where I am deeply attuned to care.

I am a volunteer at a hospital chaplaincy, offering a compassionate presence and emotional support to patients undergoing cancer treatment on the chemotherapy ward. This experience has opened my understanding of strength, vulnerability and uncertainty during times of profound difficulty.

I value seeing people live uninhibited lives despite of their past experiences or current circumstances. My purpose is to walk alongside you as we work your way there.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an in-depth approach that goes beyond surface-level symptoms. Together, we work to understand the deeper experiences and patterns shaping how you feel and relate, creating space for real and lasting change.

I work with adults from a wide range of backgrounds, both in person and online, and warmly welcome anyone who feels curious to start personal therapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist.  I hold the Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, awarded by the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), a leading psychotherapy training organisation.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a Counsellor at the Royal College of Art, the world number one art school, where I supports students navigating emotional difficulties.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

ACC
Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC)

The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

Additional information

Reaching out for the first time can feel daunting. I offer an initial consultation, either in person or online. This is an opportunity for me to gain a fuller picture of your background, including family history, childhood experiences, relationships, and any relevant medical or psychological history. It is also a chance for you to share what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping to gain, and to ask any further questions. The consultation is the best way to get a sense of how I work and to assess whether I feel like the right fit for you.

If we both feel we are able to work together, we will agree on a regular weekly appointment time to begin.

Fees are discussed during the initial consultation.
