About me

I bring  a unique blend of therapeutic skill and training together with deep understanding of Mindfulness and Meditation.

I am an Anxiety Specialist and Meditation teacher.

I am qualified counsellor and therapist and is a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, MBACP and am a member of UKATA. I hold  a Post Graduate Diploma in TA Psychotherapy and am a Partner in Baldovie House Counselling & Psychotherapy, we see clients in person and online.

“Between 2016 and 2018 Kate worked as a counsellor at the Bromley Counselling Service. She specialises in working with anxiety and her work includes a wide range of presentations from depression to addiction, relationship issues and self-esteem related areas and many others.”

“Mindfulness and Meditation are key offerings within her practice and she entered that world in 2007, whilst studying at the Jamyang Buddhist Centre in Kennington. She graduated a two year course with a Certificate in the Foundation of Buddhist Thought and subsequently went on to become a Director and Trustee of the centre between 2012 and 2014. She studied under one of the leading teachers in the UK, Khen Rinpoche Geshe Tashi Tsering, who is now Abbot of the Sara May monastic University in Dharamshala, India having been appointed by The Dalai Lama.“

Mindfulness and Meditation can help with emotional regulation, Panic Attacks, Anxiety and Trauma.

I use my blend of skills to help Clients develop their self awareness. Notice their patterns, and decide how they would like to change.

I am a relational therapist, we use the relationship we develop, to inform you about your relationships with others.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
