About me

I am a registered psychotherapist based in Thetford, Norfolk. I founded RISE Hypnotherapeutic Counselling and Coaching in 2021 and since then, I have helped many people to quickly:

  • Get clarity on their current problem
  • Be sure of what they want to change
  • Learn useful skills to manage difficult emotions and thoughts
  • Recover from what has happened to them
  • Rebuild and recreate their life in ways that work for them

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy in addition to my Human Givens Professional Diploma.

I have worked for a mental health charity as a trainer and psychotherapist and have run my own private practice since 2021. Doing this means I have helped many people, experiencing a range of difficulties, to get their lives back on track.

Further information

I work with a range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, workplace stress and have a special interest in supporting people living with long term health conditions.

Additionally, I am a qualified coach with experience of leadership and management and have helped many people to develop their leadership skills and further their careers.

My therapy room is located in my garden office and is a comfortable, confidential space.  Parking is located outside the property.

I also offer online therapy via Zoom but do not currently carry out the Rewind De-Traumatisation Technique online as I feel it is safer to offer this face-to-face.

Human Givens Therapy draws on the most up to date techniques, based on neuroscience and does not require you to attend weekly sessions.  It is a solution focused therapy, whereby we collaborate to help you develop skills and set goals, which we give you time to work on between sessions.  This means you can set your own pace and have high quality therapy to suit your budget and lifestyle.

I look forward to working with you soon.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I work from a garden office and use portable ramps to ensure the space is accessible for those with limited mobility. However, toilet facilities are not currently accessible.
