About me
Unique Self Counselling Services; A Safe Space to Explore Who You Really Are
Do you feel something is missing in your life? Maybe you struggle to find meaning, or things might be so difficult that you find yourself feeling, anxious, depressed or even at crisis point.
I am at your service. I believe that every individual has their own innate gifts and purpose waiting to be realised, your spirit, or your 'Unique Self'. Too often this Spirit is dampened or hidden under layers created in the struggle to survive and be accepted in this world; this world where there is confusion, division, conflict, grief and trauma. When an individual is unable to realise their uniqueness and potential, this can result in inner conflict, relational problems, stress, suffering and depression. I will use my couselling, coaching and psychotherapy skills to create a non-judgemental place for you to explore and get to know who you really are, to help you realise what is emerging through your struggle.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Psycho-spiritual Counsellor and have a Masters degree in psychosynthesis psychology . I am completing further training at the Psychosynthesis Institute in London (which is accredited be Middlesex University) to become a psychotherapist.
I am a naturally warm, compassionate and empathetic person. Prior to training as a counsellor, I worked as a Registered Nurse for 28 years in Intensive Care, Hospice and various community Settings, during this time I completed coaching and Leadership qualifications (PGDip- Leadership) and led a diverse range of services providing care for adults and children with complex physical and Mental Health problems and Learning Disabilities.
I have been in counselling/therapy myself and understand the courage it takes to reach out for help. I am able to provide a safe, non-judgmental space and use my skills and experience to work intuitively and creatively in the service of my clients.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Psychosynthesis is a psycho-spiritual psychology which recognises our individual human relationship with the 'more than'.....'Creation','The Universe', 'The 'Divine', 'God', 'Allah', etc. I have a particular interest in working with those who may be experiencing a Spiritual awakening or existential crisis ( asking questions like 'why am I here?').
