About me

I’m Karen. I offer a space for you to talk about whatever you feel is holding you back. Has something happened in the past? Are you dealing with something now? Or perhaps you just want to find the right path to move forward.

When you’re talking to me there is no judgement, no expectation, no one else to worry about except you. You are the centre of our time.

Finding the right therapist is hugely personal. You need to trust that you can talk freely and share the issues you’re facing. You need to feel supported as you begin to explore and understand yourself more and to find the answers you’re looking for.

That is why I sit alongside you, listening, supporting, working with you. To help you make better sense of where you are and where you would like to be.

Whether you know exactly what you want to talk about, or you just feel stuck, we will go at your pace, exploring what you need to understand more clearly about you and your life.

My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning I will draw on several different therapeutic approaches to find the most helpful combination to suit you and your goals.

My Experience includes working with:

Anxiety, Stress and burnout, Anger, Depression, Low self-confidence and self esteem, Self-harm, Abuse, Intrusive Thoughts, Family relationships, Relationships, Bereavement and Grief, Childhood, Sexuality,Chronic illness

Corporate Experience:

Additionally, I have nearly 20 years’ of experience working as a Corporate Executive Coach and Trainer working globally with leaders of all levels.

In Coaching areas I’ve worked with include:

Emotional intelligence, Stress and burnout, Imposter syndrome, Executive presence, Career progression, Leadership development, Redundancy.

Would you like a call?   I work both virtually and face to face.  I offer a FREE 30 minute virtual discussion with all potential clients – so you can make your mind up whether you would like to work with me.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
