About me
With over 8 years experience of working with clients gaining experience within the voluntary sector in the NHS and a drug and alcohol recovery centre working with a wide range of clients. I am now working from home, in a lovely spacious therapy room. I also offer home visits to those clients who prefer this as an option. I started Peace of Mind Counselling Services in September 2015. As an integrative therapist I am able to tailor counselling to your specific requirements. I am qualified in Counsellor and Clinical Hypnotherapist with training in CBT, Mindfulness and mental health. I am registered with the BACP and I have public liability and personal indemnity insurance.
I run a Facebook page for Peace of Mind Counselling Services and Peace of Mind Hypnotherapy services, where I host regular FREE online chat events.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I have completed a Mindfulness course which I feel can be beneficial to clients whether it be small or big changes. Mindfulness is focusing on the here and now, with cognitive behavioral therapy and person centred therapy it enables the therapy I offer to be suitable for all. Hypnotherapy sessions are available and it can be used for so many things including, weight reduction, anxiety, fears and phobias, birthing, stress, confidence, IBS and so much more.

Personally, I believe counselling should be affordable for all, with working from home it allows me to keep my fees realistic and suitable to all.
Initial assessment - (contract, assessment and short questionnaire, this is beneficial to both client and counsellor, it allows the client to release as well as allowing me to see where the following sessions structure fits, this can and will change with you. Allowing me to see what you are wanting from counselling, possible goals and outcomes)
Further information
I have a wide range of counselling experience, I have worked within the NHS for several years, High Level drug and alcohol treatment centre and private practise. During my time at both of these organisations I had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients, gaining experience and knowledge along the way. Since starting my own business in September 2015 I have not only been working with clients from home but also completed a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy which I have found very interesting and its easy to see how this can be very beneficial to clients for many reasons and in many circumstances. Hypnotherapy sessions are available and it can be used for so many things including, weight reduction, anxiety, fears and phobias, birthing, stress, confidence, IBS and so much more.
