About me
I offer counselling sessions both online and in person from £40 an hour with concessions available by agreement.
My aim as a therapist is to offer clients a safe space for them to have the opportunity to explore their thoughts and feelings about what is happening for them in their current situation. Clients are encouraged to talk through their worries and concerns hopefully enabling them to make their own choices and decisions about how best to move on in their lives.
In life we all go through difficult times, by having counselling you are able to explore your worries with someone not involved in your situation. Family and friends can be a great emotional support but sometimes we may want someone to talk to without worrying those close to us.
If you would like some emotional support please feel free to contact me by email, you could also text or call me on 07775 868658.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have had a variety of experience, previously working with children in a school setting. I currently volunteer for a charity working with families affected by bereavement. In private practice I have experience of working with clients who have come to therapy in respect of stress, anxiety and depression and families affected by illness, and disability.
I also have an understanding of the difficulties people find themselves in in relation to family breakdown and court proceedings.
As an integrative therapist I predominantly work person centred but will incorporate other elements from different modalities of therapy including, but not exclusively Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt.
My qualifications include:
- Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
- Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
- Foundation Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling
I undertake continuing professional development including recent training in areas including Bereavement, Depression, Bipolar Disorder and OCD and training in therapeutic modalities including Transactional analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
