Karen Hough BA (Hons) MBACP
I am an experienced NHS counsellor with extensive experience in working with clients who suffer from anxiety and depression. I am non-directive allowing the client to work through their issues at their own pace. I offer a safe environment which enables a client to explore their problems without judgement or shame.
I am a specialist in dealing with bereavement and significant loss, which could include relationship breakdown, loss of health etc.
My approach is predominantly based on Transactional Analysis which is a theory of personality and systematic psychotherapy for personal growth and personal change. I believe that everyone has the capacity to make the changes they desire in order to live a happier and more contented life.
As an experienced therapist I offer, a low cost, confidential first session to discuss your needs before you decided if you would like to proceed with further sessions. I am a caring and approachable person and aim to provide support within a safe and trusting environment. I work with both short and long term clients.
I run Wednesday morning clinics at The West Street Counselling and Psychology Centre in Fareham.
