Karen Francis Counselling, Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
I am qualified across a range of therapeutic disciplines and provide a flexible, down to earth, safe and confidential space to help you make sense of what is happening and gain crucial awareness. I also provide you with tools and techniques to help get you quickly back on your feet and gain the confidence to get back in control again!
I specialise in helping individuals deal with stress issues, anxiety and panic attacks, depression, relationship issues and addictions.
Counselling is an opportunity for you to talk to a professional therapist to help you gain awareness about yourself and your situation. It is also an opportunity to identify what changes in life style could reduce any distress you feel and to work with your counsellor to explore how you can progress towards living in a way that is more satisfactory and resourceful to you.
I work in a very comfortable environment with plenty of free parking.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I am a teenager behavioural expert and work with teenagers who have stress, anxiety, eating disorders, bullying, low self esteem and confidence issues.
My fees vary from £ 45 to £ 75 depending on the nature of the problem.
I offer reduced rates for students and adults on low income.
I work in a very down to earth way and draw not only on my academic background but also on my own life experiences which if I was to plot it out would probably look a bit like a heart monitor graph! I am very committed to ensuring that you have a positive outcome from our sessions and provide support in between meeting up if you need to call or email me.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics.
