About me
You may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or a sense that something in your life no longer feels right. Even if things appear manageable on the surface, internally, you might feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward.
I work with adults who want to understand themselves more deeply and are ready to engage honestly with that process.
Clients often come to me experiencing:
- Depression and low mood
- Anxiety, overthinking, and emotional overwhelm
- A sense of emptiness, disconnection, or feeling lost
- Relationship difficulties or recurring patterns
- Questions around identity, sexuality, culture, or belonging
My approach is existential-integrative psychotherapy, which means we look beyond symptoms to explore the deeper patterns shaping your life - your relationships, choices, identity, and sense of meaning. Rather than offering quick fixes, I provide a space for in-depth, reflective exploration, where you can begin to understand your experience more clearly and make changes that feel genuinely aligned with who you are.
I bring both professional experience and personal understanding to my work. Having grown up in Hong Kong and lived in the UK for over a decade, I am particularly attuned to cross-cultural experiences, identity, and belonging. I offer therapy in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Ways of working
I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on your needs:
Ongoing weekly psychotherapy (recommended)
For those who want to explore their experiences in depth and work towards meaningful, lasting change. This open-ended approach allows us to understand underlying patterns.
Short-term focused therapy
For a specific difficulty, such as anxiety or a current life challenge.
Many clients choose to work longer-term, as this often allows for a deeper and more sustained shift.
Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly, as consistency is an important part of the therapeutic process.
I work best with clients who are able to engage consistently and are open to reflecting on their experiences. Therapy can be challenging at times, but it can also be a meaningful and rewarding process when approached with commitment.
If you are looking for a thoughtful, professional space to explore your experiences in depth, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation.
Training, qualifications & experience
Over the years, I have worked with people facing a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, sexuality, substance use, and times in life where things feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to put into words.
In my work across NHS services, private practice, and third sector organisations, people come to me with both the everyday struggles people carry and more complex or deeply rooted difficulties. I support you whether you are feeling quietly stuck or going through something that feels more intense or hard to manage.
I will work with you at a pace that feels manageable while still allowing for meaningful exploration and change. Some people come wanting to focus on a specific issue, while others need space to understand themselves more deeply over time - both are welcome.
Alongside this, I have worked in settings where people are dealing with significant life challenges, including health concerns and substance use. This means I am comfortable working with complexity, uncertainty, and difficult emotions, without rushing you or trying to “fix” things too quickly.
What matters most to me is the quality of the space we create together. I aim to offer a thoughtful, safe, and respectful environment where you can speak openly, feel heard, and begin to make sense of your experiences in a deeper way.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
