About me
As a fully qualified and experienced counsellor, I provide a peaceful and relaxed space where you’ll find yourself able to talk openly, without judgement and completely confidentially as we build a trusting and therapeutic partnership. Since the pandemic, the majority of my client sessions are held online.
I qualified in 2011 and have three years experience in a rehabilitation centre for Headway, a national charity for survivors of strokes and other brain injuries as well as twelve years as a counsellor in my private practice based in Mid Sussex.
Using an integrative approach I use a range of counselling skills such as CBT and psychodynamic (links between early experiences which might explain our current behaviour) to help you gain a deeper level of understanding of your situation, for example :-
- relationship difficulties at work and personal life
- trauma, anxiety and stress
- bereavement
- low-self esteem
- depression
We all know life can be difficult at times - it’s normal at some stage to find yourself feeling unhappy, confused, stressed and struggling to cope.
Sometimes we can lose the connection within ourselves which helps us understand our needs, emotions, insecurities or why we have self-doubts. Voicing these things in the counselling sessions will strengthen that connection, helping you can gain a deeper understanding of your emotions and thoughts. This self-awareness will help you realise you have choices so you can feel less stuck, alone or depressed.
Choosing the counsellor who's right for you can feel a bit daunting. So I encourage anyone who's reading this for the first time to call me for an exploratory chat, so you can learn more about how I work with my clients and what you can expect from counselling.
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £60. My therapy room is in Danehill just off A275. My clients come from areas such as Haywards Heath, Lindfield, Scaynes Hill, Horsted Keynes, Forest Row, East Grinstead and Uckfield.

Three years' experience working in a rehabilitation centre for brain-injured people, helping clients re-build their lives after stroke and other brain injuries.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
