About me

Due to COVID-19 outbreak, I have reduced my session fee to £40 and I offer concessions to key workers.

As a fully qualified and experienced counsellor, I provide a peaceful and relaxed space where you’ll find yourself able to talk openly, without judgement and completely confidentially as we build a trusting and therapeutic partnership.

I qualified in 2011 and have three years experience working as a volunteer counsellor in a rehabilitation centre for Headway, a national charity for survivors of strokes and other brain injuries as well as nine years as a counsellor in my private practice based in Danehill, just off the A275.

Using an integrative approach I use a range of counselling skills to help you gain a deeper level of understanding of your situation  Clients presenting with issues such as those listed below have benefited :-

  • trauma, anxiety and stress
  • relationship difficulties
  • bereavement
  • low-self esteem
  • depression

We all know life can be difficult at times - it’s normal at some stage in your life to find yourself feeling unhappy, confused, stressed or just unable to cope.

Sometimes we can lose the connection within ourselves which helps us understand our needs, emotions, insecurities or why we have self-doubts. Voicing these things in the counselling sessions will strengthen that connection helping you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself. This can help you realise you have choices so you feel less stuck, alone or depressed.

Whether you find yourself repeatedly drawn to unhappy relationships or are to coming to terms with a major life change such as bereavement, redundancy or divorce, I can work with you to help develop a fresh perspective and new ways of coping.

Choosing the counsellor who's right for you can feel a bit daunting. So I encourage anyone who's reading this for the first time to call me for an exploratory chat, so you can understand more about how I work with my clients and what you can expect from counselling.

Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £45. My therapy room is in Danehill just off A275 with easy parking. My clients come from areas such as Haywards Heath, Lindfield, Scaynes Hill, Horsted Keynes, Forest Row, East Grinstead and Uckfield.

Three years’ experience working in a rehabilitation centre for brain-injured people, helping clients re-build their lives after stroke and other brain injuries.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
