About me

Hello, my name is Julie and I'm a fully qualified experienced counsellor.  I offer a warm, empathic, non judgemental approach along side unique listening skills.

I believe in working with the whole person, the person who doesn't believe in themselves, the person who feels they're not quite good enough, not accepted for the person they are.

Although there has been a great shift in understanding mental health, there is still a depth of misconceptions. sometimes it feels like there is no one to understand and emphasise with how you feel, in turn leaving you to feel very alone in your thoughts and feelings.

I'm an Integrative therapist with an extensive history of providing a warm, non-judgemental, safe and confidential environment for you to express your thoughts and feelings that are holding you back from leading a fulfilling life.

As an Integrative therapist, my approach is person-centred. By this, I mean that I put you at the heart of the therapy because it is my belief that no one else knows you better than yourself. I am not restricted to one approach, which makes my approach versatile.

As an individual, you have the potential to be the best you can be and to be at peace with yourself. My approach aims to provide you with those tools to enable you to reach your full potential and to find peace to live a fuller, content life.

There is no shame in seeking help and guidance. As a counsellor I am here to help you feel less alone and to work with you to gain a greater understanding and acceptance of life challenges that may be barriers to living a peaceful life.

I have many years of proven experience, supporting a wide range of clients from a variety of age groups and all with different issues. No one person is the same as the other.

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
