About me
My innate person-centred approach emphasises your capacity for self-healing and personal growth.
I work in a very holistic way, which means that my approach is adapted to my client and how they communicate and what their goals are. This means that I can work creatively, somatically or cognitively.
I have undertaken further training in Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, Creative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Rewind Technique, Guided Imagery and Visualisation and Play Therapy. All these theories complement each other and allow work with the person as a whole.
My approach is based on the understanding that our early attachments and experiences shape our view of ourselves and the world around us.
My Psychodynamic training encourages exploration of how past experiences and unconscious thoughts influence present feelings, behaviours, and relationships. It aims to help individuals gain insight into these patterns, leading to improved emotional regulation and healthier relationships.
The foundations underpinning my work are Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy and will encourage you to join me in that.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold the following industry-recognised qualifications, which reflect the depth of my training and practical experience. Qualification provides me with the knowledge and skills needed to support clients safely, effectively, and with their confidence.
- Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
- Level 5 Advanced Specialist Diploma in Psychotherapy
- Guided Imagery and Visualisation for Therapeutic Change
- Rewind Technique
- Level 6 Counselling Supervision (CPCAB)
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information
I worked with special needs young people for thirteen years before training to be a therapist. I have since worked as a school counsellor, supporting young people, parents and adult staff members with a range of emotional and mental health challenges. In these settings, I wrote content and delivered age specific mental health teaching in PSRE lessons.
My work has also been with young adults in Sixth Form and at University and I am competent working online and face to face. Part of my work in schools involved liaising with and working alongside the local Camhs teams, MHS Team and Social Services. I’ve also worked with recognised organisations such as Barnardo’s and in a private hospital, helping vulnerable individuals access consistent, compassionate support. Alongside this, I have established my own private practice, working with both adults, couples and young people online and face to face.
I also provide clinical supervision to mental health professionals (counsellors and psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists) qualified and in training, general practice and primary care staff, nurses and midwives, allied health professionals, and pre-registration staff.
I have experience of working in multidisciplinary teams that included child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, nutritionists and family therapists.
This rich experience has shaped my approach and developed a strong understanding of working with a diverse range of individuals, age groups, and therapeutic needs, enabling me to offer flexible, client-centred support.
