About me
Are you facing difficulties in your life or have a sense that things aren’t working. I feel we all have an inbuilt capacity to grow and achieve our full potential given the right conditions. I provide a safe, open and supportive space where you can be honest and say what you want to say without any judgement. Together we can untangle and explore the thoughts, feelings, behaviours and beliefs that are impacting on your life.
I love my job and care deeply about my work. I have a compassionate, sincere approach and aim to help to empower people in a way that allows them to believe in themselves and connect with their true self. I endorse individuality and autonomy.
Often our life and relationships can be affected by significant life events from our past that remain unresolved which have a tendency to come with us into the present, causing emotional pain, knocking our confidence, leaving us feeling depressed, confused, full of anxiety and low self-esteem. My aim is to help themes and issues emerge and help you gain a better understanding of what is going on for you, enabling you to live a more satisfying life.
I am an integrative therapist which means I draw from a range of different counselling approaches, however my main concern is to build a strong and caring therapeutic relationship where you can feel heard and understood, accepted and respected.
Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to my private work with clients, I work as a volunteer bereavement counsellor at a hospice in Leeds and I work at the UK Counselling Network. I have also served as a listening volunteer for Samaritans
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
