About me

I specialise in working with trauma supporting you to release and lessen the impact on you physically, mentally and emotionally. Trauma can be from many years ago or more recently. Trauma is caused when we have a shock to our system and when events happen that are beyond our control.

Have you had a persistent pain or mysterious body symptom for a while and are beginning to wonder if it has emotional roots? (But have no idea how to find out what they might be and how to release/resolve them)

I offer 1:1 support, walking beside you as we explore and deepen your understanding of your relationship with yourself and others. We look at what you are wanting to create in your life and the blocks that can get in the way.

I know that one of the most important and valuable aspects of this work is my relationship with you.  I offer an empathic, warm, non-judgemental and confidential space to create a trusting relationship that will provide a space in which you can feel accepted as you are and understood.  I will help you to understand why you feel the way you do.  No one can change the past but looking at a situation in a different light can help you to move forward. We will also look at strategies to support you moving forward with your unlimited amount of potential.

I draw on over a decade of counselling and psychotherapy and I am fascinated by the connection of mind and body.  I have added Access Consciousness, ThetaHealing®️ and Kundalini Yoga to my practice. I also draw on my own life experiences knowing that we can change the limiting beliefs that hold us back to live a life feeling more fulfilled.

I am an accredited member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy www.bacp.co.uk) I receive regular professional supervision which is an essential part of my work.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
