About me
I have been working as an Individual Psychotherapist for over 15 years now, working with many hundreds of people from all walks of life and with all kinds of presenting issues. I currently work in Frome and in Glastonbury in Somerset.
I work with Couples and hold a Certificate in the Study of the Couple Relationship certified by Tavistock Relationship, part of the Tavistock Institute of Medical Psychiatry. In addition to my work with individuals and couples, I lecture and train people in Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy courses and Masters Degrees.
Over the years some of the issues I have worked with include: Anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, anger management, panic attacks, sexual problems, addiction, loneliness, suicidal thinking and childhood abuse. I have worked with many people with diagnoses such as Borderline Personality Disorder and Bi Polar disorder. I also work with the existential and spiritual search for deeper meaning and fulfilment.
I work with short term therapy, using life changing techniques such as Mindfulness, and targeting symptom relief and enacting quick effective change. I offer safe, and secure stabilisation around personal crisis and I also am committed to longer term therapy, working at depth, supporting and enabling real and lasting life change.
I have the kind of life experience and training that has helped me to meet whatever clients bring with understanding, strength and support. It is my aim to make therapy a place where any difficulty can be shared and real change can be helped to happen.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
